Michael Morpurgo

 Bertie rescues an beautiful orphaned white lion cub from the African veld. They become best friends for the rest of their lives, until Bertie is sent to a boarding school far off in England. The white lion is sold to French circus man and is taken to a french circus. His new name was Le Prince Blanc. Bertie promises the lion that they WILL meet again. But I won't spoil it too much..... ;)

 This is a really touching book. All of the books by Micheal Morpurgo are fascinating in my opinion because they are really good. I rate this book 8/10 because it was a great book and packed with good describing words. I think this book is only suitable for children over 8 because I read it when I was 7 and I didn't really understand the plot, so I read the next year and found the story clear!
